I Love Camp Huawni Because I Get To Be Myself

Camp Huawni has been my 2nd home for 8 years now and will continue to be so for years to come. But this East Texas summer camp is more than just that. It’s a place where I can let go, just be myself, and not have to worry about what others might say. Every summer while at Camp, I’m able to act crazy right along side other campers and counselors. Dressing silly, singing loud and crazy songs, and knowing that my Huawni family will join in on the wild and crazy fun is part of what makes Huawni a magical and special place. Where else but my favorite summer camp can I wear one sock and pigtails and screaming my favorite song all the way to my activities with my best friend, and not be afraid that everyone will laugh with me and not at me. Camp Huawni is a great place to relax and allows me to be the one and only me.
