The eligibility check on our enrollment page

Our enrollment page has a tool that tells you whether your camper is the right age for a Summer session. Because it involves a child, we have been deliberate about collecting as little as possible.

What we record

  • Your name and phone number, which you give us on the second step so we can follow up.
  • Each camper's age at the start of the season, and whether they're a boy or a girl.
  • Which sessions they'd be the right age for, and how many campers you checked.
  • The date and time, and the page you arrived from if your browser reports one.

What we never record

  • No camper names. The form doesn't ask for them.
  • No dates of birth. The tool asks for a birthdate because it's the only way to work out your camper's age on the season cutoff — but only that age is saved. The birthdate itself is used in your browser and never sent to us.
  • No IP addresses. We use your connection's address briefly, in memory, only to stop the form being abused. It's never written down.
  • No tracking across other websites, and nothing shared with an ad network.

In short: what we keep about an adult is their own name and phone number, given so we can call. What we keep about a child is an age and whether they're a boy or a girl.

Why we keep it

Two reasons. So we can answer your questions about sessions, dates, and getting your camper ready — and so we know which ages families are looking for, which tells us how many cabins to staff for each age group. It's used for running the camp and nothing else.

Who can see it

Only Camp Huawni staff with a login to our content system. It's never sold, rented, shared, or given to a third party, and it's stored separately from our published website so it's never public.

How long we keep it, and how to remove yours

We keep these records only as long as they're useful for season planning, and delete older ones routinely.

You can have yours deleted at any time — just ask. Email fun@camphuawni.com or call 936-254-3223 with your name and roughly when you used the tool, and we'll remove it. No reason needed, and it won't affect an application.

If you'd rather not leave a number at all, skip the tool and call us or request information — we're always glad to answer the age question over the phone.
