Week two of second session is starting up and Tribal Competition is in full swing! Soccer was one of the most intense matches Huawni has ever seen- lasting all of the way into triple overtime, Kole Parchman scored the winning goal for the Blue Tejas. Both the Tejas and the Caddo won a game each during Huawni Woofleball Round 1 last night, and everyone is doing their best to win points for their teams in individual competition.
Tribal Competition is a wonderful opportunity for everyone at camp to show his or her strengths. Athletic campers love Tribal Competition because it gives them a chance to use their talents and abilities to help their team, but they aren’t the only campers who love it! Tribal Competition is unique because of its ability to cater to all types of campers, both athletic and non-athletic. Campers who aren’t the star of the soccer team might be the #1 cheerleader, or they might be painting team members’ faces with the team colors. Everyone does his or her own part to lift up the team, which speaks well to the notion that no matter what your talent is, it is still instrumental in the team’s success as a whole. When campers go home they don’t remember the scores, the points, or the rankings, they remember the memories they made with their team and how much fun they had!
