Afternoon in the Sun

Good afternoon! We just finished up Critter Pond Mixer, one of campers’ favorite special events. All of Camp headed to the Critter Pond to enjoy the slide, Critter, Trolley, face painting, kitty pool, and more. Counselors had the traditional Football for “D” to see who could throw the farthest pass. I was leading until the final throw, until my brother Austin just surpassed me by about a yard. I guess I’ll take second to a former Baylor QB.

Tonight we’re preparing for Initiation, a very memorable and sentimental ceremony that your kiddos will never forget. Don’t worry parents, Initiation if very safe and fun. Initiation is really a celebration of our week together here at Camp. We have 56 camper initiates this evening and we will be welcoming a neat group into the Huawni Tribe.

Tonight is my favorite- our last sing song. I’ll give you an update later this evening, but by now the campers are learning the songs and I’m sure Wagon Wheel will have a little extra spunk in it tonight.
