Tribal Competition Teams Announced

Tonight we experienced a combination of talent and tradition.

Talent Show
We hosted 39 in the Talent Show. I seem to always be surprised at how very talented our campers are. It takes a good dose of courage to get in front of 150 people and share a talent. I’m proud of all our participants, and especially our first-year campers who mustered up the strength to share their talent. Talent Show at Huawni really is a great time for kids to take a “safe risk”, and all the kids tonight were applauded like rock stars.

Tribal Competition Team Anncouncements
After Talent Show, campers put on their jeans and prepared for one of the more serious traditions at Camp, Tribal Competition team announcements. As tribal indian music played over the loud speakers, first-year two-week campers anxiously awaited to see which tribe, Caddo or Tejas, they would join. Once a Caddo or Tejas, always a Caddo or Tejas.
