Wednesday Night Cookout

Today is THE TURN at camp! Session 5 has been flying by, and it’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through!
This afternoon was spent at Hike to the Carving trees and the mudfight! After a short hike down the Camp Road and through the piney woods, the Campers love getting to spend the day in the creek. After the mudfight is over, the Campers are always eager for chilled Watermelon! This is always a great afternoon, because it really shows off how much simple fun really can be the most fun!
Cookout is a great evening spent just hanging out on the front lawn with all of Camp. It gives both Campers and Counselors a chance to just hang out and enjoy everyone! Tonight we heard the stories of the Blue Wolf, Jo Shields, and the Wild Woman from our Men’s Director Billy. As the night cooled off, and the sun began to set, we headed to the trailers for the Wild Woman Hunt. The WWH is always a great night as the kids try to spot her hiding out in the woods. We ended the evening with Sing Song under the stars with the Moon shining bright!
Tomorrow is a blast for the kids, where they get to spend the day at connect. The entire cabin gets to choose their activities from ropes, critter pond or the pool! We’ll spend the afternoon playing a fun game of Soccer, before heading to the Famous Famous MOST FAMOUS Slip n Slide and Snowcones! Who knows, there might even be a surprise tomorrow evening!
