Huawni's Got Talent!

Day 2 of Camp was here & gone before we knew it! It was another awesome day full of laughs, activities, & that summer sun. Campers are now more adjusted to the summer camp lifestyle & know their way around camp like the back of their hand. We polled some cabins on what their favorite part of the day was and here are the top answers we got:
- Riviera (the Pool)
- Archery
- Trolley
- Critter
And all of Band Aid agreed that the best part of their day was, quote, “EVERYTHING!”
Tonight, we hosted the famous, famous, MOST FAMOUS Talent Show!! Tonight is special because it’s all about encouraging our campers. It’s an awesome time seeing campers supporting their cabin mates, counselors cheering for their campers, & overall a fun, uplifting event. We get to share with each other something we’re really passionate about and encourage one another at the same time. We got to see, in many cases, the innate talents in your kids!
And then in this one moment of them going up on stage, there’s growth.
Growth in the Little Moments
Talent Show is a time for campers to get out of their comfort zone & try something new. Some campers wait all year to finally get on that stage & show off their talent that is unique to them. And then in this one moment of them going up on stage, there’s growth. They’re facing a fear head on & being their true self and all of Camp is there to celebrate with them! A great moment we saw tonight was when Dominick C. went on stage despite his fears and got a standing ovation from the crowd.
Talent Show is simple fun- kids singing, dancing, doing gymnastics, and showcasing what they can do & what makes them unique & one of a kind. It’s the perfect chance for us to get to celebrate & lift up each one of them!
