Who doesn’t love learning about themselves? From personality tests to encouraging words from family or friends, people love to discover their strengths and weaknesses and to learn what role they play in the environments they find themselves in.
At Camp Huawni, we love creating such a place for kids to discover their true significance and purpose! We believe that discovering your true significance and purpose is incredibly important and deserves time and attention. This is one thing that truly makes the Huawni experience unique and unforgettable.
In our busy culture, filled with entertainment and distraction at every turn, it is hard for anyone, let alone our children, to set aside time to devote to introspection and conversation. How can kids learn about themselves if they never slow down and minimize the distractions constantly available? At Camp Huawni, we give kids the opportunity to think about their true significance and purpose by removing them from their normal environment; from all of the many sources they look to in order to discover these truths.
At Camp Huawni, we prioritize slowing down and being outdoors! In a slower-paced setting, your kids have the opportunity to think for themselves, learn what they enjoy, and discover what role they play on a team. They get to be around mature and caring college students who watch them in these environments and speak to the significance and purpose that they see in your child! Better yet, our campers get the opportunity to interact with their cabinmates and the entire camp Huawni family, building meaningful relationships and learning to see and value the true significance of the people around them.
There is a motto we say at Camp Huawni that reveals our core value of self discovery: “We accept who everyone is currently, and we strive to know who everyone is truly.” We realize that all kids are in constant transition and growth, learning and developing all the time. We are excited about getting to love on your kids for exactly who they are and where they are in life.
