Meet Your 2020 Staff!

Can you believe that this year has gone by so fast and summer is just around the corner? I bet your camper is super eager to finally get out of the house; and I bet you can’t wait either. Our full-time staff are equally as excited, and I know our counselors are as well. Speaking of our counselors, let me tell you a little more about them!

By now, you may know that our mission is for each camper to leave the gates of Camp Huawni knowing their true signifigance and purpose. It’s a mission that will impact your child’s life forever. We believe that mission starts with our summer staff counselors. We don’t just want a counselor who can run each activity; we want our counselors to be able to impact your child by building great relationships. I believe we have hired quality staff that are hard-working, humble, and ready to love on your camper.

My personal goal is for a camper to graduate out of Camp Huawni and not know which summer was his/her’s favorite. I want each summer to be just as great as the last one. That’s why, as a full-time staff, we take the time to not only find good counselors, but find ones we trust to be with each child as if they were our own. I believe that our counselor staff will not only meet these expectations but exceed in them.

Though these are abnormal times, we are still super excited for our campers to come to Camp Huawni. Our counselors specifically cannot wait for your camper to enter through the gates and make an impact on their lives. This is going to be a great summer, and I am so glad you and your camper get to be a part of this. Now, gear up for camp because it’ll be here sooner than you know it!
