A Tale of Two Tribes
Reported by Counselor Emily M.:
We had a completedly action-packed day yesterday because it was ALL-DAY TRIBAL COMP!!! The Blue Tejas and Red Caddo have been competing fiercely for the Golden Pine Cone! This event is special because it brings different individuals together on a team and allows them to display their strengths in a judge-free environment. Win or lose, it all comes down to having fun, supporting your team, and making memories!
The Blue Tejas sweeped up wins in the morning (Soccer Kick, Hot Shot, and OC Run), but the Red Caddo took over in the afternoon (Huawni Derby and Run for the Roses).
I have seen so many individuals - both campers and staff - grow during All-Day Tribal Comp by being leaders and really understanding that winning isn’t everything. It is a time to love and just scream and cheer all day long while having the most fun with your friends!
We still have the Archery Tournament and Wiffeball World Series finale today! It’s going to be a close race!!
