Capture the Flag

Last night, campers came together to play Capture the Flag. This event is special because it embodies the fun spirit of Huawni and encourages friendly competition while providing the opportunity for campers to encourage and cheer on one another. Even though the grass was wet from rain earlier, campers came together as a team and had fun.

This year, Capture the Flag has looked a little different, but I believe now, everyone is getting the chance to participate and be involved. Through this activity, campers and staff become a better version of themselves by encouraging, participating, and supporting everyone. It’s really special to see the older campers cheer on the younger campers and the younger campers smile big and run faster to the cheers.

Capture the Flag is a simple event that doesn’t require a lot of set up. The game is simple to understand, and requires working together as a team to finish the course and capturing the flag. It’s a game of competition as old as time but its simplicity is what makes this event one of the campers’ favorites.
