Huawni Storyteller: Lauren Liles
Lauren Liles is our latest Huawni Storyteller! Lauren was a camper and counselor at Camp Huawni from the mid 1980s to late 1990s.
She shares her favorite camp activities from Capture the Flag to Hike to the Carving Trees. Lauren recalls she had “the best memories of [her] summers [at Camp Huawni]” and “it was what [she] looked forward to all year long!”
“It’s just so meaningful,” Lauren says. “It’s just the simple fun that you know. You get wrapped up in your busy life as a kid…and being able to go to camp and just enjoy the simple pleasures and the outdoors with my friends…is just the best thing!”
Lauren now sends her own kids to camp where they get to experience the same Huawni Magic as she did!
