As we send our third session campers home today, we can’t help but reflect on the countless friendships and memories that were made these past two weeks. Even more, we were able to continue fun camp traditions - some that go all the way back to 1965! From cane pole fishing to mudding at the Carving Trees to singing songs underneath the starry sky, we loved seeing everyone experience that famous Huawni Magic in the Piney Woods.

This session, we welcomed 26 new initiates to the Camp Huawni Tribe:

Rhodes A., Easton B., John B., Sullivan F., Micah M., CJ M., Darce S., Avner B., Austin K., Emmett K., Brandon V., Carson L., Roman R., Janine B., Sunnie M., Molly S., Brianna D., Maya V., Arabella A., Mariandree E., Brie M., Nyla B., Josie C., Taylor H., Emma C., and Lily C.

During each session, campers elect a Chief and Princess, who are older campers that best embody the Huawni spirit while demonstrating leadership qualities, including compassion and discipline. This session’s Chief and Princess are Clayton L. and Ella M.!

We can’t believe we’re more than halfway through Summer 2022! Our last 2-week session of the season starts tomorrow!
