Session 3 Soccer
Tonight, we kicked off Tribal Competition with Huawni Soccer! Campers showed their spirit as the Blue Tejas took on the Red Caddo. One of the greatest things about camp is the excitement surrounding events that take place year after year. Tejas Princess Natalie C. says “Tribal competition is my favorite thing out of all of camp.” Each session, counselors elect either a chief or a princess to lead the tribe. Being chosen as Princess or Chief for a tribe is a huge honor that is typically given to older campers. Caddo Princess Abigail B. explains “I am super excited, I feel like I can lead my team to another victory.”
This is just the first event of Tribal Comp, as campers will compete in various competitions over the next week to win the coveted golden pine cone. It was a hard fought battle on both sides of the field. After Caddo came out with an early lead, Tejas ultimately took home the victory with a 7-4 win. Caddo still has time to put up a fight with Tribal Comp continuing next week!
