Simple Fun is the MOST Fun!

Here at Camp Huawni we believe that simple fun is the most fun! We live this out by allowing campers to simply be together, outside and away from technology. We offer activities that stand the test of time. Whether it’s archery, swimming in the H-Pond or playing yard games like kickball, frisbee or just TAG, we’ve found that this simple fun is the MOST FUN!

Not only do we make simple fun the most fun but, Camp Huawni also believes in allowing campers to slow down. There is LOADS of fun to be had at camp and with a lot of fun you also need rest. We set time aside to allow campers to slow down and calm their minds or reflect on the day. There is built in time on the daily schedule where they can be in their cabin for a rest period and have moonlight powwows before they go to bed.

At camp we also combine simple fun with slowing down- sounds crazy right? Well it is actually one of the most loved traditions at Camp Huawni. That’s right, it’s Sing Song! If you have been to Camp Huawni before you know Sing Song and you can remember sitting with your cabin singing camp songs under the beautiful starry night! Sing Song is so much fun but also gives campers an opportunity to rest and reflect during an evening with their cabinmates!

We believe in the importance of both simple fun and rest at Camp Huawni and for decades we have purposely built these into our traditions so everyone can have the most fun shared experiences but also get rest and slow down while at camp!
