Why be concerned about choosing a summer camp in August and September? I mean, really… next summer is 9 months away, school is starting and our schedules are jam packed through the fall. Is this how you feel?
Believe it or not, there are a handful of good reasons to think about summer camp now. Not convinced? We made this list just for you.
One of the big advantages to looking at summer camp now is that you can save money. For instance, signing up early allows you the opportunity to set up a monthly payment plan, so that when your session arrives, you’re not stuck with a huge bill. You can essentially budget for Camp. At Huawni, our families can also earn a $50 tuition credits for each new family you recruit. You recruit 10 new campers, we give you a $500 tuition credit. Likewise, signing up early gives you more time to tell your friends and save even more on tuition.
We believe that Camp plays a major role in childhood development, and looking at summer camp early gives you ample time to research thoroughly the camps you like. It gives you time to ask the hard questions, talk with directors, and even get together and grab coffee with other camp families from your hometown to learn the true benefit of camp for your child. Because camp is a significant investment in your child’s development, and you want to be diligent in doing your research.
We have a plethora of parents who use Camp as an incentive for their children throughout the year. Some parents use it as a Christmas gift; others use it as a bargaining chip with dealing with behavioral issues. Regardless, you can be as creative as you want and use Camp as something for your child to look forward to the whole year round.
Great camps fill up fast. One huge advantage to finding a camp early is that you can actually get a spot in the session of your choosing. I know this next summer a majority of our families have already signed up for Camp, so our Session 2 and Session 3 will likely have a waiting list starting this fall. Sometimes signing up early is a necessity, depending on the camp you choose.
At Huawni, we offer a New Camper Discount (up to $150 OFF per week) for families who sign up between September 16th and October 15th. This can save you a good amount of money, especially if you sign up for two weeks or more. A four week camper, for instance, can save up to $600.
To our camp parents, what benefits have you experienced while checking out Camp earlier in the year?
