It was a refreshing night to see so many of our Camp Huawni families in Houston last night at the Doyle’s! And let me tell you what, Colby Doyle knows how to get the party started with only the best: Chick-fil-a nuggets, fresh fruit, chips, and desserts galore! Soon after, we all gathered around the camp fire for some good ol’ Sing Song time with (soon-to-be) Daddy Travis. But you can’t have Sing Song on a Thursday night without some warm s’mores, as Caitlin knows…

Caitlin, 4 years at Camp, preps her marshmallow to be roasted for an epic s’more!

After s’mores we watched the 2013 Session 2 video; talk about great memories and excitement for Summer 2014!

Some days I get caught up in the grind of work, but last night was a perfect reminder of why I do what I do. There is something incredibly special about a lifelong, multigenerational, extended family that is united by rich tradition, time outdoors, meaningful relationships, simple fun, and true growth. Thank you, Doyles for opening your homes and hearts; y’all are one of a kind!

Grace, (1 year at Camp) Caitlin, (4 years at Camp), and Oliver (1 year at Camp) howl like a dog before we sing a Camp Huawni classic, ‘Salty Dog.’

Gather around that camp fire for some good Sing Song in Houston

Multigenerational campers right here! TK, Blake, and Kara smile with future camper, Harper. Can’t wait for her to be at Camp Huawni!

Camp Huawni alumni, Audra, Martha, Colby, and Toby, are back together like time has not even passed.

The whole Houston gang! Great to be back together again.

Winding down after a great party means I get to play with Caitlin, Megan, AND Emma’s hair. Great way to end!
