Last night, all campers came together with their new tribes to mark the start of Tribal Competition. This morning campers had their first shot at individual competition. Campers competed at swim (both long and short), the Obstacle Course (for fastest time), Hot Shot (most points in one minute), Archery, and for the first time in Tribal Comp history- at Disc Golf!

Even in the midst of the fierce tribal competition, Jane C. found a way to relax & enjoy Camp!

Tonight, Caddo and Tejas met on the Soccer Finals for their first team competition. After multiple rounds for both littles and bigs, the final score was…

6-4 Tejas

Huawni Soccer really amps up the energy for this session & is a great kickoff for the rest of Tribal Competition week. Not only do campers get to cheer for their team, but our coaches get to encourage them to lift up the other team and practice good sportsmanship, win or lose. With the weekend ahead of us, there’s a bit of a different, more unique pace that all of camp loves. Between tribal competition, time spent soaking up the outdoors, and a lot of time altogether, campers will have the chance to enjoy a different aspect of Camp.

Best part of Tribal Comp?? Your tribe is always there to celebrate with you!

Again, if you haven’t had the chance to purchase Tribal gear for your camper, you can do so online here.

Past campers and staff, what was your favorite part about the weekend at Huawni?
