Here at Camp Huawni we believe in the importance of being outside and having a great time away from technology and social media! Since 1965, we have been cultivating an environment where friendships and creativity thrive. One of the best ways we are able to get campers outdoors is with our activities we have at camp. These activities allow the campers to not only be active and have fun but also to make meaningful relationships with their cabin mates and other campers that will last a lifetime.
At camp, we have a variety of activities that campers are able to attend throughout each session. One of my personal favorites is mountain bikes. There’s just something about riding a mountain bike through the piney woods of East Texas or on the tribal comp trail that makes it so much fun! Most of our campers’ favorite activities at camp are the Critter Pond, high ropes, H-pond and our newest activity class at Camp Huawni, pickleball! Along with these top favorites we also have archery, gaga ball, the giant swing, and so much more!
Overall, activities are a big part of what makes Camp Huawni such a fun and special place that feels like a second home to so many people! We are very grateful that we have been able to provide activities for campers to be outside and enjoy the outdoors, as well as make those meaningful friendships that they will never forget!
