Our Session 3 Triathlon results are in and we are so proud of all of our campers who completed this challenging course! The Huawni Kids Triathlon is a rigorous course, as campers swim 80 yards, bike 2 miles, and then run about .75 miles. The triathlon ends with campers completing the OC course and crossing the barrier. Finishing the race truly is an accomplishment, and we are so proud of our campers! You’ll notice that many of our younger campers competed and finished the race yesterday…truly amazing.

We talk a lot about kids discovering who they are and what they’ve made of at Huawni. The Triathlon is one event where campers get to do that. They face really tough circumstances, and learn to persevere and finish the race. What a great life lesson- finish the race, even when it’s not easy and you don’t feel like it!

Congratulations to our 36 finishers and to their friends who encouraged them the whole way! It was truly a team effort!

The swim leg goes the length of the Critter Pond.

The bike leg of the Huawni Triathlon is the longest, stretching the length of the camp road and back.

The run leg from the bike barn to the OC is usually the toughest leg.

Huawni campers still manage to smile even on an uphill climb!

Hands up…almost to the OC!

Say congrats to your campers below!
