It’s the time of year to start our New Year’s resolutions! Many of us have a list that consists of losing weight, reading more, getting to bed earlier or trying something new. All of these are well-intended, but more often than not we fizzle out at some point.
This year, I want to challenge us to make New Year’s GOALS instead of resolutions. Resolutions revolve around change but goals revolve around us putting forth an effort for a great directive. So, here are some ideas for possible “goals” for this next year:
Try something new
Push your self outside your comfort zone
Meet new people
Better your self
Take time to find your true significance
I know just the place to do that…Camp Huawni! As a camper at Huawni, you can do all these things and so much more. Heading out to overnight camp in East Texas, being away from home for a few weeks, experiencing ziplines and giant swings, having simple fun cabin traditions meeting new campers and staff, and taking time each day to see who you really are outside your normal day to today environment. That seems like a great start to an amazing year!
“I think goals should never be easy, they should force you to work, even if they are uncomfortable at the time.” —Michael Phelps
