Being my first year here working at Camp Huawni the build-up to All Day Tribal Comp has lived up to the HYPE! Blue, Red, Caddo, Tejas- the competition is fierce. Each event throughout the day involves the campers and gives them a chance to lead out to compete for their tribe is a sight to see. But even more important each camper cheering on and encouraging each other. Whether good at the event or bad…no matter what campers screaming at the top of their lungs “GREAT JOB”, “YOU CAN DO IT”, or “KEEP IT UP!!!”

The competition gives the opportunity for each camper to grow not only as an athlete, but in their character. Sportsmanship at the core is that both sides respect the work and effort each team put into the game. I have been blown away by these kids having fun but also giving it their all. Being outside, dressed up in their blue or red these campers have shown true grit to give their all for their respective tribes. Simple fun is the most fun I always say!

Today was a great day at Camp- Campers and Staff poured their all into making today happen, and we’re so proud of all the work they put in today. It was a long day, but it’s really neat to watch all of Camp work hard for their teams. Words just don’t do it justice!
