We kicked off our Friday at Camp Huawni with Connect, meaning campers got to participate in a morning activity of their own choosing!

Campers spent time cooling off in the pool, playing water basketball, taking a ride down the slide, or bouncing their friends off the “famous, famous…MOST FAMOUS” CRITTER!

After cleaning up for lunch and taking some time to rest, we went out to the Critter Pond and spent the rest of the afternoon at the Critter Pond Mixer!

We slid, rode the trolly, and critter fought to see who would be the Critter King or Queen.

We finished it all off with some yummy dinner and headed out to the I-Pond for initiation. There campers got initiated into the Huawni family and learned some of the camp secrets…ohhhhh.

We topped off the night on the pool deck where we stargazed and did Sing Song.

It was so nice to spend our last full day of Session 1 having simple fun with all of our camp friends and awesome staff!

Betsy is a third-year staffer, she is excited for this summer! She loves camp because it provides a safe place that campers and staff can be fully and authentically themselves. This summer, Betsy is excited to be working as the Marketing Intern and getting to pour into campers through media. A fun fact about Betsy - she once stayed up for 108 hours straight!
