Double the Days, Double the Fun!
Sunday truly lived up to its name during this hot afternoon. But we couldn’t think of anything better than a warm welcome to our second session campers!
Opening Day is exciting not only because campers get to begin their summer camp adventure, but also because of the longlasting friendships that are made or continued. It is such a sweet moment to watch campers step onto Huawni campgrounds. New campers meet their counselors and cabin mates for the first time, and returning campers reunite with friends they haven’t seen in a year. You can definitely feel the joy and energy all around!
Tonight’s Opening Night Show on Flag Pole Hill kicked off this session in style as counselor-camper teams competed against each other in a series of Minute to Win It games. Tossing cheese puff balls to a face of whipped cream? Check! Opening Hershey Kisses with oven mitts? Check! Laughing your head off from all of the silliness? Triple-check!!!
We’re so pumped for our first two-week session of the summer! Over the next 14 days, these campers will get to experience all of the fun activities, events, and traditions Camp Huawni has to offer - including the much anticipated Tribal Competition!
